What it does

A guitar preamp sim based on the Mesa Boogie TriAxis, with eight modes covering creamy Mk I gain, Mk IV scooped rhythm and a modified British lead, plus master, presence and voicing. Around it sits a full chain, filter, noise gate, compressor, modulator, delay, power amp, reverb and cabinet, and the blocks can be dragged into any order. Ten factory presets, A/B, undo and redo.

In the demo

Jade tracks a metal piece on a seven-string in Logic, then switches to a six-string to walk the modes from clean through crunch to lead. She reorders the chain live, demonstrates the gate on a noisy guitar, syncs the tremolo to the DAW, and runs the cabinet IRs.

Worth knowing

The iOS version has no IR import, unlike the desktop build, so custom cabs mean adding a separate IR loader in the chain. The desktop VST and AU is sold from Nembrini’s own site.
