BLEASS Tides

What it does

A delay whose time can be moved without the usual warping, either by crossfading between two timings or by taking a tape-style slowdown, with an inertia control setting how long that transition takes. An input filter shapes what enters the line, and a rack of feedback effects sits inside the repeats: distortion, dust, bit crusher, frequency shifter, ring modulator, a second delay and four filter types, freely reordered. Three LFOs, two envelope followers and macros can be routed to almost any parameter, including each other. A kill switch stops runaway feedback.

In the demo

Jade runs it on piano, guitar, bass and drums from one Piano Motifs project, introduces each feedback effect on its own, then routes LFOs to the mix, delay time and ring mod frequency.

Worth knowing

The interface lagged noticeably on taps throughout the demo and the app crashed once, losing her patch. It is not universal, so it will not load on a Mac, and BLEASS sells a separate desktop build.
