BLEASS Saturator

What it does

An AUv3 saturator built as five modular stages: a drive with a three band EQ and a high and low cut, a wave shaper, a bit crusher, an LFO and a dry and wet output. The drive carries 60 dB of gain, so it works as a gain stage, not a pedal. The wave shaper has offset, depth, period and strength, the bit crusher has rate and depth and sits before or after the chain, and the LFO has a target that points at any knob in the app. The 40 factory presets are split between the drive and wave shaper sections.

In the demo

Jade runs it in GarageBand on electric guitar, a live vocal, a Kyle drummer part and a smart bass track. On the drums she goes stage by stage rather than by preset, so each module is audible alone. The vocal presets get the most time, and the bass stays on the default to show what the drive alone does.

Worth knowing

The window cannot be resized. Jade credits its low CPU draw for letting several instances sit in GarageBand.
