BLEASS Phaser

What it does

An AUv3 phaser. The notch count runs from one up to 24, frequency sets where those notches sit and spread pushes them apart for a wider stereo image, each adjustable from a knob or by dragging the display itself. Feedback goes far enough to self oscillate, so the plugin makes sound with nothing fed into it. A frequency LFO and a spread LFO each carry a shape, a rate and an amount, running free or synced to the host, and a dice button randomises the lot.

In the demo

Jade drops it on a centred, distorted guitar track in GarageBand from an unreleased metal song, then moves to AUM with a guitar running through Tone Stack and takes the presets one at a time. She finishes on a live mic, sweeping frequency by hand for a robotic vocal and stacking feedback until the sweep falls into a hole and climbs back out.

Worth knowing

It is a phaser and little else, with a mix control and presets rather than a deeper chain around it. Jade works it on guitar and voice only, and points at another channel for how it sits under keyboards.
