What it does
A three-band compressor with a crossover for low, mid and high. Each band holds two compressors, one above its threshold and one below it, so a band can be squashed and lifted at once, each with its own attack, ratio, release, input and output. A global section scales attack, release and knee across all three, alongside look ahead, a soft clip, dry and wet masters and a side chain aimed at any combination of bands.
In the demo
Jade sets up side chaining in AUM and in Logic, solos each band on a drum loop, then pushes the ratios far enough to use it as a distortion before running the presets over a full mix.
Worth knowing
Pushed hard it becomes a texture effect rather than a transparent leveller, which suits sound design more than gentle bus glue. A macOS and Windows version in AU and VST is sold directly by BLEASS.
