Bellows and Bones for FRMS

What it does

An in-app expansion for FRMS, Imaginando’s four-layer granular synth. The source material is original recordings of a small accordion and a harmonica plus textural foley, granularized into pads, drones, organs, mallets and mechanical noises. Presets stay fully editable, with the envelope, mod matrix and mod wheel routing available on every one, and layer volumes adjustable per patch.

In the demo

Jade loads FRMS in Sessions, shows the in-app store where the pack unlocks, then plays through the presets one at a time, mostly on a single held note. She mutes layers to expose the four tracks inside a patch, and closes by running four FRMS instances driven by Bounce Bud with SoundBox underneath.

Worth knowing

The results lean strange and cinematic rather than conventionally musical, and it needs FRMS to run at all. Anyone after clean acoustic accordion tones will not find them here.
