What it does
A sample-based instrument built around liminal-space horror: faded pianos, uneasy pads, room tones and soundscapes, around 40 presets across four banks. Four effects shape every sound, Lapse (tape motor drift), Wear (dust and aging), Room (oversized reverb) and Distance (filtered echo), with ADSR, octave shift and note latch on the pitched presets.
In the demo
Jade runs several instances in AUM, feeding the keys presets random notes from Bounce Bud and Waymaker so the broken melodies emerge on their own. She walks each preset bank, adds lapse and wear to the piano sounds, and closes by degrading a soundscape through Coastline and False Memory.
Worth knowing
The ambience presets ignore the ADSR, the latch does not respond to an external keyboard, and there is no preset saving beyond what the host stores. Anyone after a conventional piano will find this is a mood instrument first.
