What it does
A pitch shifter that moves audio up or down by as much as an octave in semitones, with a further 100 cents of detune either way. A quality dial trades conversion quality against latency, which is shown on screen in samples and milliseconds. It is a plain utility rather than a character effect, so there is no filtering and no mix control. Factory presets cover guitar octaves, lo-fi octave up and down, slight detunes and a randomize, and presets load and save through the Files app.
In the demo
Jade uses it on backing tracks in AUM, pulling a song down a semitone when her voice will not reach it, then lifting it again. She tries it on a live mic, in Logic on guitars, and on a duplicated vocal take to build a rough harmony.
Worth knowing
The latency is not reported to the host, so nothing compensates for it. Low quality runs at 50 milliseconds, audible on a live mic, and at high quality in Logic Jade has to nudge the audio region back into line.
