AUBE 2

What it does

A browser for the AUv3 plugins on a device, built on a shared database that the developer maintains. It sorts them by group, category, feature and developer, filters installed against offloaded, and carries a catalogue of plugins you do not own for wishlists and for spotting new releases. Collections can be shared, custom tags can be added, and the whole thing syncs across devices from a nickname.

In the demo

Jade sets it up from scratch, turning on the keyboard extension and pushing her unrecognised plugins back to the database. She compares finding an app here against searching the App Store, then uses the extension in AUM and in Cubasis to pick a plugin from inside their own search bars.

Worth knowing

The keyboard extension only appeared for her via the on-screen keyboard, not a Magic Keyboard, and does not run on Mac at all. The earlier AUBE, demoed in 2023, charged for database updates as an in-app purchase and is no longer listed on the App Store, so this is the only version on sale.
