What it does
A standalone AUv3 host and mixer, the lighter sibling of Sessions Pro. Eight channels each take an instrument, two effects and their own MIDI input, with keyboard splits, transpose and sustain, plus two MIDI buses carrying up to four generators. Around that sit backing tracks, a metronome, Ableton Link, plugin delay compensation, multi-threading and a recorder that always runs in the background. Projects open in Sessions Pro.
In the demo
Jade sets up audio, MIDI learn and recording, loads a piano, splits the keyboard at C3, stacks looped drum files, and pulls a take from the rolling recorder into AudioShare. She then routes Chordbot, a Lumbeat drummer and Pendulums through the MIDI buses to instruments on their own channels.
Worth knowing
The plugin browser lists by developer with no search field, and there is no per-channel mute or solo. There is no timeline, so it is built for playing and capturing rather than editing a song.
