Arguments

What it does

A processor modelled on analog test equipment. It takes two inputs, A and B, and combines them with a chosen argument, addition, subtraction, a scaled product and others, then passes that through a function stage that pushes it further. B can instead be an internal tone generator with several waveforms, oscillator or LFO mode, a fuzzy control that wobbles the frequency, and a multimode filter. Oversampling, a soft clipper and a smoothing switch sit alongside.

In the demo

Jade generates tones first, then runs a piano into A and walks each argument and function, finding where the maths collapses into distortion. She sidechains drums into B, sings and plays bass through it, and stacks instances into a soundscape.

Worth knowing

It is built to break signals apart rather than polish them, and the output level jumps hard between settings. The iOS app does not run on Apple silicon Macs; AudioThing sells a separate desktop version.
