Adrift

What it does

An atmospheric pack for AudioModern’s SoundBox sampler, built like the rest of the Kompose Audio set: a few presets, each stacking layers that can be muted, remapped or swapped for sounds from other packs. The material is drifting and spacious rather than melodic, with long tones that keep moving under a held chord.

In the demo

This is the pack that fights Jade. One layer breaks up whenever she plays low notes, so she isolates it, deletes the pack, reinstalls it from an external SSD and tries again on camera, with the same result. She plays the presets that do behave either side of that, and names the Vox pad sound as the culprit.

Worth knowing

Jade is on an M2 iPad with her sample library on an external SSD, and puts the fault down to SoundBox teething rather than the pack, noting AudioModern were working on third party pack handling. Worth watching that stretch before buying.
