VS - Visual Synthesizer 2

What it does

A visual synthesizer that turns audio and MIDI into real-time graphics, running standalone or as an AUv3 instrument, effect or MIDI plugin. Eight layers and a background hold shaders, visualizers, images, video, live camera or animated text, each with blend modes, colour and its own trigger source. A modulation matrix with two envelopes, four LFOs and four audio modulators drives any parameter, and the built-in player loads audio next to an eight-channel MIDI file so layers can follow separate instruments. Scenes record out to photos or files.

In the demo

Jade builds a scene from nothing, triggering a glowing circle from a keyboard, mapping radius and glow to an envelope, then adding clouds on an LFO and a spectrum driven through the gate EQ. She adds animated text, feeds everything through render output, and records a finished clip.

Worth knowing

It is resource hungry, and two instances loaded as effects crashed during the demo. Extra shader and asset packs are sold separately inside the app.
