Scissor Hands

What it does

A dual filter with a high-pass and a low-pass that can each be switched in or out, each with cutoff, resonance, selectable filter order from two to eight poles, and its own drive stage. Three modulation sources feed them: an LFO, an envelope follower that can run from the internal signal or an external side chain, and self FM. Every parameter is exposed to the host, and there are A and B states plus four times oversampling.

In the demo

Jade sets it up as a multibus instance in AUM so the envelope follower tracks a separate drum track, then sweeps the high-pass through the order settings and drives it into breakup on an FM synth.

Worth knowing

A May 2025 update reworked the UI, added a step sequencer beside the LFO and envelope follower, and added morph, a crossfade between two full parameter states, with latch and lefty modes. Parameter labels sit under their sliders rather than above them. Relaunched in 2026 as version 2, linked here.
