Samposium

What it does

A pad-based performance sampler. Each circular pad holds a sample with its own start and end points, loop, reverse, play type and effects chain drawn from distortion, delay, bitcrusher, filters, phaser, reverb, ring modulator and a string resonator. Four dice re-roll whichever parameters a per-pad matrix allows, and a step sequencer, global filter, reverb, EQ and compressor sit around it. Samples import from Files, record in through an interface, or come from the library it ships with.

In the demo

Jade plays a piece she built in ten minutes, then starts an empty project, loads ambient beds and her own drum hits, sets ranges and gestures, wires up the dice, and draws a pattern into the sequencer.

Worth knowing

The AUv3 is in beta: it exposes no parameters to the host, cannot be loaded as an effect, and a project saved in standalone will not find its samples when opened there.
