Retro Keys

What it does

A keyboard instrument with four vintage models: a Rhodes Stage 73, a Wurlitzer, a CP electric grand and an upright retro piano, mixing samples with physical modelling. On top sit tremolo, chorus, vibrato, phaser, synced delay, auto pan, envelope, drive, a filter with two LFO destinations, tape and vinyl noise, double tracking and a lo-fi section, plus over 220 presets.

In the demo

Jade runs four instances in AUM under drums, then works through every control on one instance with a KeyStep, showing how effect settings carry over when you switch instruments and routing aftertouch to vibrato and cutoff, before a preset tour by instrument.

Worth knowing

The download is under 150 MB. A June 2026 update added microtonality: more than 150 curated scales, Western scales with a selectable root note, world scales including Arabic, North Indian, Chinese pentatonic and Ethiopian, Scala file import by way of the free Wilsonic app, and a lock that holds one tuning while you page through presets, so a scale can be saved with a sound. Most of the depth is in the effects and sound design.
