What it does
A sampled concert grand that runs standalone or as an audio unit, taken from the Ravenscroft 275 Titanium grand. Three panels sit under the keyboard: a three band equalizer, a reverb with mix and size, and a velocity curve, with a timbre control and a polyphony setting in the options menu. Presets save and load, and the keyboard can be set as one or two tiers.
In the demo
Jade adds it to a GarageBand project of a Ben Folds Five cover, copies the existing piano part onto the new track, mutes the old one and plays the two back to back. She then sets velocity to the middle, raises the reverb mix and size, lifts the highs and takes the timbre to around three quarters, then loads the preset she saved the day before.
Worth knowing
Pasting the part across carried automation into the new track that was not on the original, so it needs clearing. One piano only, so anyone after several keyboard sounds in one app is in the wrong place.
