Pure Piano

What it does

A sampled grand piano played through a morph pad, where timbres sit at points on a square and a cursor blends between them. The plain piano sits in the middle, with cinematic, reverse, detuned, bright, pad, mellow, intimate and percussive around it. EQ, reverb and delay follow the pad by default and unlock for manual control, alongside velocity curves, transposition and tuning. It runs standalone or as an AUv3, with MIDI over USB or Bluetooth.

In the demo

Jade plays each point alone, then uses the 2.0 pencil tool to move the percussive sound to a top corner so it blends against reverse. She pulls the key and pedal clicks out of a project she had shelved over them, syncs the delay to the host, and sets it beside the GarageBand piano on one of her songs.

Worth knowing

Version 2.0 added the editable morph points, the mechanics page for key and pedal noise, host sync and preset import, none of it in her earlier launch demo. It is one piano with a compact control set, so the morph pad is most of what is here. Pure Upright and Pure Strings are separate purchases.
