What it does
A filter effect made with Hainbach and modelled on a vintage passive bandpass unit from his collection. Incoming audio is split into octave-based bands, with a frequency dial to sweep the filter sets, an artifacts control that adds clicks and pops as you sweep, impedance for resonance, soft clip and oversampling. A circuit panel underneath exposes each of the ten bands, and every parameter is open to MIDI and LFO control.
In the demo
Jade runs it on Noise Space drones, a Pianoteq piano, healing bowls and Playbeat drums in AUM, sweeping it by hand, then from an LFO, then from a Korg Nano Control mapped to the circuit bands. She walks the presets, including the high-resonance ones.
Worth knowing
It works as a sound design and performance tool more than a corrective EQ, and the artifacts and high impedance settings get loud quickly. The desktop version is sold separately on the AudioThing site.
