n-Track Studio Pro

What it does

A multitrack audio and MIDI recorder with a loop browser, step sequencer, virtual drummer, sampler, piano roll and a set of built-in effects including amps, EQ and a vocal tuner. It hosts AUv3 and Inter-App Audio, opens a full track mixer as a side panel, and saves projects either for one device or in a packed format that carries the whole session to the desktop and Android versions.

In the demo

Jade runs the guided tutorial, which builds a short song from a loop, a drum pattern, a bass part with an amp and an imported vocal, then works through the save and export options and the exported file locations. She spends the opening stretch on the pricing structure.

Worth knowing

Buying it is layered: the app, an instrument bundle and separate packs, with a per-platform licence unless you subscribe. The free edition cannot export at all, so trying it out really means a month of the subscription.
