What it does
An emulation of 1970s analog tape delay hardware with three sections that can each be switched in or out. The echo has three combinable virtual tape heads, millisecond or synced timing, wow, noise, tone controls, a hold mode and forward or reverse playback. The reverb runs 35 impulse responses grouped as springs, plates, halls and colours. The modulation section covers chorus, flanger and phaser in analog, digital and broken variants. Four machine characters colour all of it, and a routing page moves the sections around each other.
In the demo
Jade runs it in AUM over a Playbeat pattern, building each section from the init patch so the tape heads and characters are audible separately, then reorders the routing and closes on the factory presets.
Worth knowing
The echo gets loud and unstable at high feedback and drive, so it wants a limiter behind it. The desktop version is sold separately by Surreal Machines with a free demo.
