What it does
A free ambient effect and noise generator. Incoming audio, or its own forest, noise and beach sources, is split through a simulated tree canopy into dozens of delayed copies with drifting movement and filtering. Controls are pictorial: time of day sets sound colour, brightness sets highs, wind adds motion, camera distance sets delay spread, aperture focus filters repeats, light trails sets feedback.
In the demo
Jade runs the standalone first, including a microphone mode with birdsong and a chipmunk pitch-up setting, then loads the AUv3 on electric guitar in AUM and later on piano, a drum machine and a synth, blending each before combining them.
Worth knowing
The AUv3 carries the five main controls plus birdsong and chipmunk, but the standalone’s own sound sources are not available inside a host. It suits ambient washes more than controlled delay work.
