What it does

A pattern based drum machine, billed in the video as a mobile reinterpretation of the 90s software drum computer of the same name. Each kit piece has a lane with per step velocity, pitch, decay, chance, flam and ratcheting triggers, and eight pattern pages can be copied, chained in sequence or jumped between at random. Sounds come from stock kit pieces, a per track drum synth or imported wav files, and every track has pan, volume, a compressor and a distortion.

In the demo

Jade works through the step rows and the top row in AUM, then turns chaos, chance and mutation up until patterns come apart. She runs the factory and guest creator presets, edits a drum synth voice, and imports kicks and snares from her own acoustic pack. The last stretch is a death metal glitchcore beat built from eight pages of that kit.

Worth knowing

Randomization is central, so chance, chaos and mutation will move a pattern away from what was programmed. Anyone after a full arrangement will be sequencing pattern pages rather than writing on a timeline.
