Gospel Rotary

What it does

A physically modelled Leslie 145 rotary cabinet, built from impulse responses captured at twelve horn and drum positions and reassembled in code. Horn and drum each get speed, pitch, balance, rise and fall times, an eleven band EQ and a filter, plus isolated motor noise that reacts to the input. Mic type, angle and spread are adjustable, with stereo, scooped, mid side, front and mono placements. It ships with Gospel Organ and also runs as a standalone AUv3 on anything else.

In the demo

Jade opens it from inside Gospel Organ, steps through its presets, switches between slow, fast and brake, and sets it to auto so the speed follows the host. She pushes the drive until the cabinet breaks up, then walks the mic angle and spread settings.

Worth knowing

The control set is large for what is conceptually one effect, and the drum placements are mono only. It is iPad and Apple silicon Mac only, with no iPhone version.
