Gospel Organ

What it does

A Hammond organ instrument that mixes sampled tonewheels with physical modelling for the mechanical parts. Three manuals, upper, lower and bass, each get their own drawbars, volume, percussion, vibrato and effects bay, and the modelled key clicks and motor noise can be dialled in or removed. A chord and note name display sits above the keys, and the sample set of roughly 1.1 GB can be stored on an external SSD rather than the iPad.

In the demo

Jade plays it in Logic Pro on iPad, switching manuals from a MIDI controller, adding reverb from the effects bay, then stripping the clicks and noise back to the bare tonewheels. She runs through factory presets and works the on screen volume pedal under the overhead camera.

Worth knowing

It is iPad and Apple silicon Mac only, so iPhone players are out, and the depth of the per-section preset system means a lot of pages to learn. Gospel Rotary comes bundled and is also sold on its own.
