What it does

A tape-style looper that records up to 45 seconds and trims the loop to the length actually recorded. A length knob sets the window, an overdub button layers passes, and a speed control runs from forward through a stop and into reverse. Warble, inertia, attack, decay, a filter and a delay sit down one side, along with a mutate button. A mode switch moves it from plain looping to a four-step sequencer with three independent triggers and per-step pitch, which locks to the host tempo.

In the demo

Jade works in AUM, recording 24 seconds of seven-string guitar through BIAS FX 2, then dragging the speed into reverse, overdubbing, and switching to the sequencer with triggers set to an eighth, a quarter and a third. She repeats it with an SM58 vocal through Soloist FX, with two of her own tracks loaded from AudioShare, and with Aparillo.

Worth knowing

Opened on its own it records from the device microphone, which is the field recording use it was built around. Jade notes the overdub button needs to be off for the first pass. The app was co-designed with Hainbach.
