What it does

A lo-fi effect built from three stages. A vinyl simulator adds noise, crackle, needle drop, wobble and wow and flutter. An AD/DA converter section reduces sample rate and bit depth with a choice of anti-aliasing and anti-imaging filter models drawn from late-80s and 2000s samplers. A mix slammer compressor finishes the chain, with wet mix, auto gain and four times oversampling.

In the demo

Jade runs it in AUM across FM synths, Playbeat drums and Scaler chords, building each stage from a cleared patch so the noise, converter and compressor are audible separately. She also hits a routing bug in Logic Pro where audio stops passing.

Worth knowing

The parameter labels sit under their sliders rather than above, which takes adjusting to. A May 2025 update reworked the UI and added morph, a second parameter state you crossfade to with a slider, plus latch and lefty modes, auto gain and auto bypass switches, and a preset browser that moved from the side to along the bottom.
