What it does

A MIDI sequencer built from modules that chain into each other. Step, morph, weighted, sum and Brownian generators sit alongside utilities for Euclidean beats, MIDI channel splitting, probability and chords, and each module can generate, transpose or branch on the notes reaching it. Modules can be reordered in the chain, and every stage carries its own note length, velocity and lock. A second mode turns the app into a controller for the developer’s own Ridgewalk and Weeping Wall loopers, driving their pitch and glide rather than sending notes.

Jade builds up from a single step sequence in AUM, then chains morph, weighted and Euclidean modules, resets sequences from a hardware keyboard, and spreads one line across three instruments. She closes by using it to steer Ridgewalk.

Worth knowing

It generates no sound at all, so it needs a host and an instrument to be useful. It is iOS and iPadOS only, with no Mac build. Jade hits a bug where module selection ignores Magic Keyboard trackpad taps and responds only to finger taps.
