What it does
A virtual analog synth that despite the name carries four oscillators and four filters. Filters run serial, parallel or one per oscillator, and the modulation strip along the bottom holds XLFOs, envelope generators, followers, sliders, XY pads and MIDI sources, any of which is patched by dragging from a dot to a target. Targets include controls inside the effect slots, which cover reverb, delay, chorus, phaser, drive and compressor. An arpeggiator, unison up to 64 voices and alternative tunings sit underneath.
In the demo
Jade builds from a clean patch, adding oscillators, then walks the modulation system by hanging one XLFO on the filter, the detune and a chorus at once. She switches filter routing to per oscillator, then runs the preset banks from arps and basses to drums, keys, pads and plucks.
Worth knowing
It is an iPad port of the desktop plug-in, so the controls are small and the effect chain cannot be reordered. FabFilter sells the desktop version separately.
