What it does

A virtual analog synth in two parts, each with two voltage controlled oscillators drawn from a long list of shapes, plus noise, a sub, and phase and pan controls. A modulation page holds four LFOs and three envelopes, while the effects page adds distortion, crush, a formant control, reverb, delay with ping pong variants, and chorus. Output carries an EQ and limiter. A step sequencer supplies notes, and a randomizer can be aimed at chosen sections.

In the demo

Jade tours the interface, then spends most of the hour in the preset browser, sorted into categories from vocal and pad to bass, organ, brass and drums. The vocal presets get the longest run, including a monk patch she returns to. She unlocks the sequencer to drag notes around, holds steps to set their level, shows every parameter exposed to AUM for host automation, and saves a tweaked patch to a user bank.

Worth knowing

There is no playable keyboard, so notes come from the sequencer or from MIDI, which Jade flags twice. Layering parts on top of each other means running more instances of the plugin.
