What it does

An AUv3 MIDI sequencer that reads a grid of steps along a snaking path rather than left to right, with a long list of paths to pick between. Each step holds a note, a gate, a velocity and a probability, and each of those rows randomises on its own or all together. Key, scale and an octave range are set in the settings, and the note knobs stay inside that scale however far they turn. Patterns save into slots and switch while it runs.

In the demo

Jade opens a session where three instances drive iSymphonic, Waverley Tables and a SampleTank acoustic guitar, then clears it and rebuilds in AUM. She pulls gates down to make rests, swipes steps back in with an Apple Pencil, walks the rate values added by the update released the day before, and pushes it into Factory and Magellan 2 for something noisier.

Worth knowing

GarageBand cannot host it, so Jade sends every track to one AUM mix bus and records that through Inter-App Audio, which takes one pass at a time.
