What it does
A touch-surface synth built on an X-Y pad that stays in a chosen scale, after the Korg Kaossilator. Pitch runs left to right, volume up and down, and the pad takes several fingers at once. Patches stack oscillators with their own waveform, harmonic and volume settings, then pass through vibrato, tremolo, delay, reverb, chorus, distortion and a filter, plus patch and global EQs. A looper with overdub and a beat track sit beside it.
In the demo
Jade plays a live piece against a piano part, then rebuilds a patch from one sine wave upward. She records a loop, then shows what the new AUv3 wrapper cannot do: the pad sends nothing to Logic or Cubasis, so she records in the app and drags the audio back through AudioShare.
Worth knowing
The pad locked up several times during the demo, and the developer flags the AUv3 limits on first launch. A keyboard plays and records MIDI normally.
