What it does
An emulation of the Philicorda transistor organ, modelled on the later GM751. Five vox filters decide which frequencies pass and a bank of octave selectors stacks the registers, with nothing audible until at least one filter is open. Around the original circuit sit an overdrive, a vibrato, a spring reverb, attack and release, a bias control that shifts the balance between the internal oscillators, adjustable key click and a leakage dial for bleed from the second octave.
In the demo
Jade starts with everything switched off and brings the filters and octaves back one at a time, so each register is heard on its own, then works through the overdrive, vibrato and spring reverb. She plays a clip of the hardware for comparison and builds an ambient piece from four instances driven by Zoa.
Worth knowing
The filter and octave buttons signal on or off only by a change of colour, which takes some learning. It models one specific instrument rather than combo organs in general.
