What it does
A polyphonic phase distortion synth. Its multi oscillator stacks two copies of one waveform, one detuned by fine or coarse amounts and the other driven by a ring or noise modulator, with a shape slider setting distortion on both and a mix and mod frequency between them. Waveforms run from saw, square and pulse through to resonant saw, triangle and trapezoid. Amp, mod and extra envelopes each have eight stages, every stage set by dragging an XY pad for level and time. An LFO, portamento, key based spread, chorus and brightness finish it.
In the demo
Jade plays it from a controller, works each slider in order, then feeds it from Zoa and from Euclidean in Logic, recording the MIDI to a track. She also shows the settings page and the pull out on-screen keyboard.
Worth knowing
The preset manager is a flat list with no folders, so large libraries will get unwieldy. Blip Box, the drum synth from the same developer, shares this video from 53:22 onward and has its own entry.
