What it does
A generative sequencer built from linked gears. Each gear’s size sets its rhythm against its neighbours, the connection angle sets pitch within a chosen scale, and each gear carries its own offset, velocity, duration and MIDI channel. Scenes store snapshots, most things can be randomized, and it runs standalone with internal piano, Wurlitzer, vibes and synth sounds or as an AUv3 MIDI plugin.
In the demo
Jade builds a track in AUM from a single gear, adding gears one at a time and hearing how even and odd sizes shift timing. She routes gears to a piano, guitar, pad and bass on separate channels, saves six scenes with a key change, and switches them from a keyboard.
Worth knowing
The AUv3 makes no sound of its own, so it needs an instrument on the receiving end. Mouse input was not working in the demo build; touch was fine. It leans toward syncopated and ambient material.
