What it does

A generative instrument built on twin double pendulums released a fraction apart. While they stay in sync you hear a lead over a rolling accompaniment; as they drift a second voice splits off, and once they diverge the full band arrives, so song form comes from the physics. Lead, twin, chords and bass go out on separate MIDI channels, with 26 scales, eight accompaniment styles and sampled piano, koto and shakuhachi.

In the demo

Jade runs it into three instruments in AUM, then opens the standalone to work through scales, tempo, twin offset, grace notes, octave play and the mood pad. She exports a MIDI take, then rebuilds a 30 BPM ambient patch with the MIDI-only AUv3 across four channels.

Worth knowing

Changing a pendulum control restarts the run, and the AUv3 version drops the standalone mixer. The free download is standalone only; AUv3 use needs the unlock. A free browser version runs at liquiduslabs.com.
