What it does

A noise instrument aimed at drones, soundscapes and avant-garde texture rather than notes. Simplex noise feeds a granular engine across five generators, each holding a tone with segment, structure, pulse, morph and stereo width, plus a separate background layer with a crush control and convolution-style types. Filters, a gate that behaves like an envelope follower, two LFOs per generator and a step sequencer sit around that. It loads as an instrument or as an effect, and a Create button generates a whole patch outright.

In the demo

Jade works in AUM and takes one generator apart control by control with the level down, so each change is audible on its own. She builds the background layer, modulates its crush, then switches the sequencer between binary and step modes with jitter and per-step probability. At the end she reloads it as an effect and runs a generated piano part through it.

Worth knowing

Presets and generated patches need the Set button pressed before they take effect, which trips people up across this developer’s apps. As an effect it accepts input on two generators only. Jade’s route into the dense interface is Create, then working backwards.
