Nikaya

What it does

A compact wavetable synth with two oscillators per voice, each able to sweep through a table, detune against the other and feed an FM pair. Modulation and filtering are global: two LFOs, one aimed at each oscillator, a resonant filter with its own cycling envelope, and an amplitude envelope per voice. An XY pad moves both table positions at once, and any parameter can be modulated.

In the demo

Jade sets it against a drum generator in AUM, detunes the two oscillators, folds the FM in, then sends the LFOs at the tables so the sound keeps moving. She imports photos as wavetables, including the episode thumbnail, runs the factory tables and presets, and ends with several instances playing together.

Worth knowing

There are only two pages, the oscillator and LFO page and the filter and envelope page, so it is quick to learn rather than deep. Anyone wanting per-voice modulation routing or a built-in sequencer will need to add one alongside.
