What it does
A free MPE MIDI controller that makes no sound of its own. It sends every note on its own channel so bend, pressure and timbre move independently, with five playing surfaces (piano, isomorphic grid, ribbon, scale grid, drum pads), a routing matrix from finger movement to MPE and CC targets, split zones, XY pads and 26 presets.
In the demo
Jade hosts it as a MIDI plugin in AUM driving an MPE synth and a drum app, walks the surfaces, the glide modes, octave and key-count controls, then the setup panel for presets, the matrix, split points and custom scales. She finishes on the new drum pad surface, where velocity follows pad position.
Worth knowing
It is a controller only, so the target instrument needs MPE switched on. A free Mac and Windows companion turns the iPad into a DAW MIDI input, covered in the developer’s own walkthrough rather than here.
