Mi-03 Bassline

What it does

A monophonic subtractive synth aimed at the TB-303 sound. One oscillator blends saw to square, with glide, three switchable distortion banks that sit before or after the filter, and a cutoff with resonance, envelope mod and accent. The sequencer holds two 16-step patterns that chain in orders such as A B or three A’s and a B, with each step carrying a note, a slide and an octave. Randomizers for pattern, tone and octave stay inside a chosen scale and root note, and an arpeggiator mode runs the sequence from held keys.

In the demo

Jade sets a four on the floor kick in AUM and jams for several minutes before touching a control, then builds a pattern step by step and leans on the random generators. She sends an LFO from Rosetta into the cutoff and later the resonance.

Worth knowing

The feature set is narrow by design: one oscillator, no song mode, and nothing past the distortion banks for effects. Jade is covering the update that added the preset bank, which the first release shipped without.
