What it does

An AUv3 MIDI sequencer for single lines, with lanes for notes, octave, velocity, gate, ratchet and glide above a rate control and a bank of pattern slots. Notes are drawn into a chosen key and scale, so steps are named from the scale rather than typed as pitches, and blank steps act as rests. A probability knob decides how often a step plays and a random button rewrites the pattern, both working globally or on one selected step, while rate stays global. Individual notes can also be removed from the scale.

In the demo

Jade draws a line in F minor, takes it out to 16 steps, then moves through the lanes one at a time before randomising. She excludes the root from a second instance so a bass part sitting on that note has room, and ends by bussing everything into GarageBand over Inter-App Audio.

Worth knowing

One line at a time, so chords or several parts mean several instances, each with its key set by hand. GarageBand will not host it on a MIDI track, which is why the demo routes audio across instead.
