What it does
A five band EQ that runs only as an Audio Unit inside a host. One low shelf, one high shelf and three peaking bands, each able to boost or cut by up to 24 dB from 10 Hz to 20 kHz, each with its own Q and no fixed order. Bands move by dragging their buttons, several can be held and moved together, and pinching on a held button narrows it. There is no spectrum display, and five presets are included.
In the demo
Jade mixes a 32 track DreadCircus song in GarageBand, adding instances to the snare, two piano tracks and the kick. She lifts highs on the snare, cuts low rumble out of the pianos so they separate, works the strings and bass, then bounces an uncompressed mix out to AudioShare.
Worth knowing
With no curve on screen the moves are made by ear, and the developer describes it as aimed at colouring rather than surgical work. Jade notes several instances sit lightly on system resources.
