Little Arp Monster

What it does

A MIDI arpeggiator whose 16-step grid holds arpeggiated notes, full chords with their own voicings, scale degrees and rests, following the key you set. Up to 16 scenes hold variations, and an arranger places markers across bars to switch scenes, shift degrees or transpose. A modulation lane drives velocity or any CC, and Mutate and Randomize with a Spice dial generate new material.

In the demo

Jade runs it in AUM as MIDI processor and instrument, builds a pattern from chords and degrees, copies and mutates scenes, then lets the arranger move between them. She records the output into Helium and shows the Logic setup with MIDI recorded to track.

Worth knowing

iPad only on iOS, with the desktop version sold from the developer’s site. Randomize at full Spice can leave the key and scale behind; Mutate is the gentler option.
