Krill Synthesizer

What it does

A virtual analog synth that fits on one screen, one knob to one function. Two oscillators with frequency, waveform and pulse controls feed a mixer with a noise source, then a low pass filter with cutoff and resonance, two envelopes, a single LFO that can be routed to most controls, and a stereo chorus and ping-pong delay on the end. Mono with glide or polyphonic, and 63 preset slots with 31 filled from the factory.

In the demo

Jade builds sounds from scratch rather than browsing presets, adding one control at a time from an Arturia keyboard in AUM so each oscillator, the sync button and the filter are heard alone. She also opens with five instances layered in a generative patch, and saves a new sound into a user slot.

Worth knowing

The design is deliberately shallow, so the delay has no tempo sync and the chorus has no controls at all. Anyone after deep modulation or patch browsing will find it thin by design. The build in the demo crashed once when sync was engaged.
