Hyper Boost

What it does

Two modules in one AUv3. A two-band tone control splits treble from bass at a movable centre frequency, so it works as a broad tilt rather than a surgical EQ. That feeds a clipper with drive, a ceiling that caps output level, an edge control that softens the corner of the clip, and three curves ranging from a soft-knee shape to a hard high-order one. The tone stage can sit before or after the clipper, and auto gain compensates as drive rises.

In the demo

Jade puts it on a soloed drum bus in AUM, exaggerating the tone controls first so the split point is obvious, then boosting the kick into the clipper and stepping through the curves.

Worth knowing

A May 2025 update reworked the UI and added morph, which crossfades between two parameter states on a slider, with latch and lefty modes. Holding any control after that update types in an exact value, restores its default, or syncs that one control to the morph state. Parameter labels sit under their sliders, not above.
