What it does

A MIDI generator that makes no sound of its own. Notes orbit a circle and fire whenever they cross a trigger bar, with controls for note count, duration, loop length and probability. A set of offsets, quantized, free, speed, even and global, spread and bend the pattern so it evolves over time. Scales, custom scales, per-note editing and a dice on nearly every control sit on top.

In the demo

Jade runs it as a MIDI processor in AUM feeding PianoTeq, Hilda, Factory and Spelldozer, adding one control at a time so each offset is audible on its own, then builds a layered ambient piece across four instruments and captures a pattern out as a MIDI file.

Worth knowing

It is a generator, so you steer it rather than compose in it, though keyboard input drives the chords. A later update gave each trigger bar its own MIDI channel out and an octave offset, so one instance can feed a rack of instruments, and added colour controls for background and dots. That routing needs a host that passes MIDI, not GarageBand. A desktop VST and AU is sold from Mario Nieto’s site.
