What it does

A step-based gate and volume sequencer. Each step can be an on and off gate or a drawn level, running in stereo with independent left and right lanes or in mono, with per-step ratcheting, swing, smoothing, rate from 64th to one to one, forward, reverse and ping pong, and 2 to 64 steps. Version 2 adds a MIDI mode, so the same pattern can be sent out as CC data instead of gating audio. A resonant filter and randomize and remix controls sit alongside.

In the demo

Jade runs it in AUM on a SynthMaster pad as an effect, then loads a second instance as a MIDI processor and uses it to drive the cutoff and resonance of a bass patch in another app, turning a plain bass into an acid line. She later gates a vocal.

Worth knowing

It is iPad only, not iPhone. The MIDI side means mapping CC numbers and channels by hand in the receiving app, so it suits people already comfortable with routing rather than anyone wanting a one-tap gate.
