What it does
A lightweight three-band EQ modelled on a well-known American 500-series equalizer, with a vintage output transformer stage that adds saturation as you push it. Beyond the bands there is a drive control and an output, so it is set up to add colour and weight rather than to make narrow corrective cuts.
In the demo
Jade puts it on a summing stack carrying an entire drum kit to add bite, then on the lead vocals of a grindcore track where the drive does most of the work, and finally on a guitar. Each pass is played bypassed and engaged so the difference is audible.
Worth knowing
Small moves go a long way here, and Jade notes she does not need much EQ before it colours the signal. Anyone after a clean surgical EQ with more bands will want something else. A desktop version is sold separately by Aurora DSP.
