Elastic Melody

What it does

Three channels of basic analog-style synthesis, each with waveform select, a four octave range knob, high pass filter with resonance that will self oscillate, filter modulation, an envelope with a note length cut, a noise source and panning. Every channel drives its own step lane whose rate, length and first and last step are set independently, so the three drift against each other. Almost any parameter can be automated per step, there are five effects on a shared rack, and song mode chains named patterns.

In the demo

Jade clears the preset and builds one channel up from the waveform, then shortens the second and third lanes so all three run at different rates. She pushes the resonance into acid territory, draws automation onto the low pass and the effects, assembles patterns into a song, then runs three resized instances side by side in AUM.

Worth knowing

Scale and key are global per instance, so separate scales mean separate instances. The sound stays in basic analog territory, which rules it out for anyone after sampled or wavetable material.
