DynaSinth

What it does

A 12-voice synth built from three sine oscillators that run in unison, with a seventh and an octave blended against the root by a single mix control. Drift, drive, noise, vibrato, tremolo, an envelope and a reverb sit around them. The dynamic section is the idea behind it: the synth’s own output modulates a chosen parameter as you play, with sensitivity, smoothing and an LFO, and the routing can be inverted. Mod wheel, expression and aftertouch can take over that control instead.

In the demo

Jade starts from one sine and layers in the seventh, the octave, drift and drive, then sends the dynamic modulation to drive, mix and reverb so the sound moves with her playing. She runs four instances fed by Waymaker and Scaler for an ambient piece, and plays through the preset list.

Worth knowing

This is a single panel built around sine waves rather than a full subtractive synth, so it suits pads, bells, organs, sub bass and simple percussive sounds more than detailed filter work.
